Seasons of Flowers Sampler
Eileen Bennett --The Sampler House
c. 1987
12/2003 - 12/31/08
32 ct. cream linen, DMC thread
On New Year's Day I began another of Eileen's gorgeous samplers...Bands of Many Colors. I just love stitching band samplers with a variety of specialty stitches. They are not very wide, which for me is enjoyable, as I don't get tired of working on the same thing for very long. There's only a little bit done, so no pic yet.

Really beautiful sampler, Mary! Congratulations on a last minute finish for 2008!
Hi Mary,
Glad to see that you are back blogging!
A beautiful sampler and I'm laughing that you were stitching right up till midnight to make sure that you finished it in time. :-)
Eileen's samplers really are a treat to see, and you've certainly done a marvelous job with this one!
Fabulous finish!!! And I like the one you are starting, too. When I attended a workshop (in October) E.Bennett had a small sampler in a frame. She is going to have it out as a pattern soon. It was really neat looking. I keep waiting for it!!!
What a simply stunning sampler. It is your hobby and therefore no deadlines and no stress so how long it takes is irrelevant, it is the pleasure it gives, both whilst stitching and as decor for your home that matters.
Oh, Mary, I agree with you about band samplers! You feel like you accomplished something at the end of every stitching session.
Congrats on finishing SoFS. It may have taken you a long time, but now you have an amazing piece. :D
Mary, this is so beautiful.
I can't think of a better way to end 2008 than stitching. :)
I can't wait to see more updates on the new sampler.
