The above is an experiment using 2 bags of topsoil. Cut a hole, drop seeds in, mulch and voila! Melons on the left and cukes on the right. I'll put a mesh on the fence for climbing.
Mega crop of tomatoes!
The "square foot garden". 24 square foot squares...tomatoes, peppers, carrots, radishes, melons, cukes, thyme, basil, rosemary, beets, swiss chardThe carrots were planted last August. I harvested many of them last fall and then, as another experiment, left the rest and mulched over the winter. These came out this morning. They are still fantastic!
